Natural, Harmonious Meditation for
Beginners or forThose with Problems Meditating
In our introduction
to meditation, we state that meditation is a inherent part
of conscious existence, an ability built into the mind that is
used, to a greater or lesser extent, by every life form that
has the faculty of consciousness. In other words, it is a natural
ability that everyone possesses and utilizes.
And so, it makes logical sense that he world of
nature itself provides the best starting point for practical meditation,
and nature often provides the best harmonious atomosphere for meditation,
especially meditations focused on relaxation and stress relief.
However, as human beings of conscious awareness
with a physical presence, we also have a physical nature that can
be utilized to successfully practice meditation. Many natural metaphysical
principles are outlined by Catherine Ponder, in her book entitled
"The Healing Secret of the Ages".
One can
overcome many blocks and difficulties in learning basic meditation
by simply focusing on harmonious meditations, rather than the more
advanced and esoteric forms of meditation. In this tutorial, we
endevour to explore one such method, but it
is, of course, not the only method!
To clarify, "esoteric" meditation refers
to themes that are not inherent in the natural world, such as:
- Meditating on or with light spheres, pyramids, geometric
constructs, and/or abstract concepts
- "Nothingness", "Emptiness", and/or "Silence"
- Chakras, word forms, esoteric symbols, etc.
The Spanish Vowels: A, E, I, O, U
According to views expounded on by Pythagoras ( known as
the father of geometry ), the universe may best be represented
by mathematical and/or geometric
models,
which in the end simply represent the vibrational nature of
the universe. The harmony and supreme organization of the universe,
and all it contains, is beyond the ability to consciously cognate,
and is intrinsic, all inclusive, holographically ominpresent.
Dr. Juno Jordan, author of "The Romance in Your Name", spent
25 years studying the vibrational significance of names and
numbers, based on the ideas of Pythagoras. One of the most
striking observations she detailed is that in any language,
the vowels of the language are feminine ( receptive ) and the
consonants are masculine ( projective ). Upon observation,
it is easy to observe how vowels are soft, fluid and harmonious,
while the consanants are gutteral, crisp and sharp.
The focus of this meditation will be the theory that
the vowels represent
pure heart's desire, in harmony with natural
vibration. By intoning the vowels in conjunction with a simple
breathing excercise, these natural vibrations are circulated
throughout the body ( the subconscious ).
When performing this meditation, it is amazingly easy
to simply lend one's consciousness to both the feeling
of the vibration, and the sound resonating.
In other words, listening to the sounds with full, relaxed
conscious attention is quite natural, as the entire body is
involved in the process.
Each vowel is intoned with a single breath, intoned in "C".
Different octaves have unique physiological effects.
The pronounciation of the Spanish Vowels:
A - ah as in awe-inspiring
E - eh as in able-minded
I - ee as in easy does it
O - oh as in open-hearted
U - oo as in truly honest
