Metaphysics, more than anything
else, is founded upon the study of causes underlying noticeable
effects. That every effect in nature has a cause is self evident.
However, too few people realize that by carefully
studying causal factors, amazing practical applications can be
developed in areas as diverse as physics, human behavior, health,
and even
economics. Mastery of metaphysics entails indentifying underlying
and universally applicable principles fundamental to any subject
matter, and then developing practical methods to harness these
principles in a useful manner. Metaphysics has been employed
in many diverse fields, including natural medicine, art, music,
physics,
psychology, and almost any human endevour where mankind pursues
excellence through a greater understanding of the world in which
we live.
The principles that govern
nature lie beyond nature. Simple composition yields complex manifestation.
Metaphysics is the realm of pure thought and ideas developed
from observation and experience, taken back to base abstract
theory, and then systematically studied for practical application.
While there are many imperfect systems that exist in metaphysics,
many topics have a great practical value that should not be dismissed
lightly, nor without completely honest and diligent investigation.
Common Definitions of Metaphysics
- The Science of the Super Sensible
- The Study of the Nature of Being
|
- The Transphysical Science
- The Study of that which lies beyond nature

"Whereas physics is the attempt to discover the laws that govern
fundamental concrete objects, metaphysics is the attempt to discover
the laws that systematize the fundamental abstract objects presupposed
by physical science, such as natural numbers, real numbers, functions,
sets and properties, physically possible objects and events,
to name just a few..."
"...So metaphysics investigates numbers, laws, properties, possibilities,
etc., as entities in their own right, since they seem to be presupposed
by our very understanding of the scientific enterprise. The theory
of abstract objects attempts to organize these objects within
a systematic and axiomatic framework."
